The Material
What is Gold Bonded Silver?
A real 14KT gold layer permanently fused to a core of .999 fine silver.
Not plating. Plating is a thin micro-layer measured in microns and wears off in months. Gold bonding fuses a thick layer of real 14KT gold under heat and pressure — typically 100× thicker than standard plating.
The core matters. We use .999 fine silver (purer than sterling .925) for weight, brilliance, and structural integrity. The 4mm and 6mm widths are made with precision-machined 950 silver to hold a tight, clean profile at slim widths.
The look of solid gold, a fraction of the cost. You get the warmth, tone, and density of solid 14KT — without the five-figure price tag. Each piece is mirror-buffed before bonding so the final finish reads as fine jewelry.

Will the gold wear off?

Gold bonding fuses a thick layer of real 14KT gold to the silver core — roughly 100× thicker than standard plating. With normal wear and basic care, the finish is built to last years, not months.
Is this real gold?

Yes. The outer layer is real 14KT gold, bonded to a .999 fine silver core. Both are real precious metals.
How does this compare to solid gold?

It looks identical at a fraction of the cost.
How long does production take?

Two to three weeks. Every piece is made to order from scratch — we do not stock finished cubans. Heavier widths and Sleek Moissanite locks can run slightly longer.
Can I return or resize it?

Made-to-order pieces are not returnable. Sizing adjustments (links added or removed) are available at material cost — labor priced separately when needed.
How long does the gold bonding last?

Honestly, everyone is different — it really depends on your body chemistry and pH. We've seen clients get 3 to 5 years out of a piece, and we've seen others get closer to a year. It comes down to how you wear it and how you take care of it. The good news: we can always re-bond it when the time comes. The piece isn't disposable.
What metals are used?

The base is .999 fine silver — purer than standard sterling (.925). The outer layer is real 14KT gold, fused under heat and pressure. No brass. No base metal. No shortcuts.
How should I care for it at home?

Wipe it down with a soft cloth after wearing, and store it separately when you're not. That's it. Bring or send it in for professional ultrasonic cleaning any time — included for life.
Does the rose gold finish cost more?

No. Yellow gold and rose gold are the same price — the metal tone is a finishing choice, not a material difference in cost.
What is re-bonding?

Re-bonding is the process of applying a fresh 14KT gold layer to the piece after the original finish shows wear. Unlike plated chains — which are disposable once the finish breaks down — our bonded pieces are built to be serviced. Available through our atelier, priced separately when needed.
